The Farmland Birds's team found one Skylark nest, after intens observation of 1 feeding pair. Nevertheless, the chicks were already fledge so they had to look for the youngsters between the crops. Too late. None could be found.

Well, not too bad. On their way back home, they found another pair feeding. Would they be able to find the nest tomorrow?

Weather: Warm day with average temperature of 20 degrees, very sunny and little wind.

Today, Teresa and Lena kept working on the Great Reed Warbler project. In Rysjön and Nyängen, 4 new nests and 3 new female were located! In Fågelsjön and Aslasjön, 1 new nest has been found.

Personal och gäster: TMJ, LLS, TLR, NDL och MPN. Gästen Sönke Eggers från SLU i Uppsala åkte hem och den nya arbetaren Marianne Stoessel (France) ankom med tåg till Kumla under kvällen. Välkommen!

Väder: Molnigt med eftermiddagsregn. 7-12 grader. NO vind.

Dagens arbete: Trastsångarforskningen fortsätter i rasande takt. Hanar och honor med färgringar och ljusloggrar fångas och släpps.

Last night a new staf member arrived at the field station, Marianne from d’Alsace in France. She will be assisiting with several projects the next six weeks...it’s good to get some reinforcement because ‘the game is on’.
