Personel; Magnus, Marianne, Nico, Torben, Lena, Mikael and Teresa
Weather; Grey and cloudy day. Rainny evening
Projects; Great Reed Warbler; Farmland Birds; Söron nest boxes
In the morning, Magnus and Nico visit Söroslatten. They found one Yellowhamer nest and one pair of Skylark feeding chicks. Not bad. Meanwhile, Torben and Marianne stayed around Ängfallet. They found one pair of Yellowhammer mating – to be confermed if it is a new one – and keept an eye on the Ortolan pair nesting near by. Everything fine.
As for the Great Reed Warbler team, we can tell you that so far we have: 19 males and 22-23 nests in Kvismaren; 8-9 males and 5 nests in Slottsviken, but the job is not finished yet and more nests will be found in that beautiful bay of Segersjö.
In the afternoon, Torben, Lena and Marianne head towards Sörön where they ringed the chicks of Great Tit and Blue Tit nesting in the nest boxes. Pied Flycatchers are also nesting in there but it will take a few more days til the chicks hutch.
