Weather: Windy in the morning.
Projects: Ringing and GRW.
Despite the weather, today it has been a very productive day.

In the morning we could not ring because of the wind, but we took advantage of that and we cut all the reeds again in Vallen and Banvallen. After that, we started to set up the third ringing station (Ässön). I hope we can have it ready in the next days.

A couple of interesting captures today during standarised ringing the first common rosefinch of the season, and one of our juvenile marsh harriers, ringed at the nest and fledged this year, which was capturd by hand when it was found near the nets by CDF.

It was quality not quantity today at the ringing station with 19 different species ringed, including the first wryneck, fieldfare, siskin, common redstart and lesser whitethroat of the season.

Today the GRW team ringed a Great Reed Warbler chick in Loten.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t ring because it was too windy.
Until today we have ringed 642 different birds, of 34 different species.

Yesterday morning 20 different species and 77 new individuals were ringed in Rysjon site, being the Lesser Whitethroat and Nuthatch the birds of the day!!!! Always nice to see them and impossible to get tired of them!!!! ;)

Weather: Overall a nice day, foggy in the morning, hot and sunny during the day and windy in the afternoon.

The ringing team was ringing in Valen. In started slowly in morning and peaked at around 9-11 o’clock. They caught 91 birds of 14 species. One reed warbler recapture from France. Other species:
