We got an interesting day at Vallen with some good species such as Bearded reedling and wryneck and the first bluethroat of the year in Vallen. TOTAL of 39 birds (34 news and 5 recaptures). Numbers of recaptures have drop down, indicating the movement of birds. Mosto of the individuals caught are juveniles.

Fishing
The nets at Rysjön were remove at 6 am and the fish extracted and measured. 37 Crucian Carps were caught and no other species was present in the fish nets. The bigger carp measured 210 mm length and the heavier weighted 450 gr.

After removing the fish nets some ringing was done at Banvallen, resulting in the 7 new bird ringed and 1 recapture. Total: 8 birds and 6 species.

MMJ moved the canoe from Åslasjön to Rysjön to set up the four last fish nets in search for more Crucian carps. They were set up with not few problem in the fight with the wind.

LDC left us early in the morning today. Groceries for forward weeks were obtained from the store at örebro.

Staff: Sun showing up between clouds in the mornings. It did get worse latter, starting to pour at 16:30 and became in a strong storm latter

LDC and MMJ removed the fish nets in Åslasjön. 14 Crucian carps were capture in the nets with legths in between 115 and 340.
The position of canoe at Rysjön was check, with not too many luck.

We head to Ässön in which it was forecasted a perfect day for ringing. Few wind, no rain and a bit misty. Unfortunately, the rain started to pour while we were still setting up the nets. We closed them with our best hopes for the rain to stop, but this did not happen but it got stronger. We got 5 birds while setting up the nets. All of them were new.

Unfortunately, our loyal saab has got broken in the gears. We drove all the way to the mechanist with it and come back with a nice walk. We are waiting for the diagnosis of the doctor to pick up the car again.
Afternoon was spend trying to fix office work and preparing thing for the ringing the next day in Ässön. We also got the visit of Maja and Anita, who were invited to Spanish omelette and bring a nice cake. Thanks to them!
