Standardised ringing
We head to Ässön today after a while whithout ringing in this place. The day was promising, with the visit of a nice couple interested in birds who were visiting Sweden. We got a decent number of birds, which came in to waves. The first one was from 6 to 10. The second wave was after 11. We already thought the activity was decreasing and got a good number of birds in the last round. Finally, we got 54 new birds and 4 recaptures –in brackets-. A juvenile Redstart -in the picture- was the special species of today, without underrate the appearance of a white wagtail and a swallow. This last one was interrumped during the meal and did not release her mosquito during the whole time of the ringing. We hope she finally enjoyed relaxed the taste of its capture.’¨ A good number of blue tits were attracted to the bluethroat tape.
