Weather: Sunny and freezing.
Projects: Ringing
Standardised ringing
It’s been the slowliest morning so far, probably. However, low numbers of birds give me the chance to use skull ossification as criteria to properly age a treecreper as an adult (2nd calendar year or more). There was a recapture of a Song thrush which was ringed last year.

It was a nice site to ring. Lower numbers than Vallen and Ässön, sure, but it give a nice bush-stoke of biodiversity, specially at the beginning of the season, before Ässön. We got the woodpeckers there (the great and a lesser which was a recapture). Hope they enjoyed as much as me next year, with greater number hopefully if birds have better luck in the breeding than this year.
