Great Reed Warbler nest checked today.

Staff: APN, MMJ, CBS, TMJ, LDC, JRD, HAN

Weather: Partially cloudy in the morning, clearing somewhat later on during ringing session. Heavy rain during afternoon and evening.

Projects: Great reed warblers, Ringing.

Great reed warblers

JRD and TMJ went to Sörbysjön and found a nest with a newly hatched chick and four eggs. The territorial male was confirmed to have two females, but despite hard attempts, the second nest could not be found.

Standardised ringing

Ringing took place at Vallen. 46 birds of 10 species were caught, 33 of them new and 13 retrapped. New birds caught were as follows:
