Weather: Warm and sunny day with a bit of increasing wind at the evening.
Projects: Great Reed Warbler, Ortolan Bunting, Crows nest visits, Skylark nest.
Great reed warbler
MBR and TMJ went to Rysjön in the morning and fing another nest predated but also a new nest. Near this nest they found a March Harrier nest with 5 chicks. They later caught a GRW and put it an accelerometer to record to movement. This will help to get more precise data combine with the logger to track migration route.
In the afternoon, they went to Sörbysjön to checked to nesting activities of some nest predated males. It seems that they don´t begin to built yet. Meanwhile, they found 3 Little Gulls active nests nearby.
Ortolans
JMY and EKP tried to find the Ortolan bunting nest in Ängfallet and also the Skylark nest in the spring corn field but without success.
Crows nest
APN, MMJ, and EKP went to check the Crows nest located in june. Ten nest have been checked but just one have still activity in. The others one have already fledge or failed.
Passerines nestboxes
APN and MMJ also checked nestboxes but all was already empty or failed.
