Passerines Nestboxes
This morning DWE, EKP and Alex visits 22 nestboxes. Most of the breeding intents were unsuccessful: predated nests, chicks sick or dead are unfortunately common this spring. They also discovered a Pine Marten family in one of these nestboxes.
Crows
The extremely windy days continues to delayed chicks crows counting. Only four could have been checked today by Alex and DWE. They also witnessed a predation of a young Greylag from a White-tailed Eagle over Nyängen.
Great reed warbler
Micke tried to check some nest this morning in Rysjön and Nyängen. The wind conditions make difficult the lakes visit. He found others nests abandoned or predated. It´s also a difficult spring for the Great Reed Warbler.
JMY and MBR dedicated time entering data and made some office work.
