Diary
A Common Redstart was of interest and we left planning to return in the afternoon to repair the frayed winch rope to the canopy net and replace rotten mist net poles. We then sorted out the equipment needed for a wader ringing session.
The pools at Banvallen are drying out fast but walking is not easy for the ringers. sinking as they put into place single shelf nets. Our efforts were rewarded with nine Ruff and two Little Stints ringed. The variety of waders coming in to roost will maintain an enthusiasm for another try later in the week. A full day’s activities was followed by Brunos Spanish meal
