Weather; Warm during the whole day. Calm early morning but strong SE wind around noon and during the rest of the day

Projects; Great Reed Warbler; Yellowhammer; Skylark; Ortolan Bunting

 

In the morning, Magnus and Nico found another Yelllowhammer nest with 3 chicks. While the Great Reed Warbler Team (Dennis, Lena, Teresa and Torben – who joined us for the day) found another Great Reed Warbler nest in Rysjön, one at Nyägen and another one at Yxnaset (Segersjö). Total number of Great Reed Warblers so far: 15-16 singing males in Kvismaren and 10 at Segersjö.

 

Meanwhile, Pablo and Adam were identifying Marsh Harrier males at Åslasjön. In just 2 days of hard work and dedication they are able to identify 6 different males (2 of which are polygynous).
