Projects; Marsh Harrier nests, ringing
Just like the last days this morning started with the search for Marsh Harrier nests - this time at Fågelsjön. However there are no new nests to announce but we are confident to find some more during the coming days.
After the morning in the field we met Nico, who will join the team from now on. With him we did a little trip across the area of Kvismare to show him around. We are very happy to have a fourth member in our team now to help us with our daily tasks. As a warm-up we will start the next round of wetland surveys tomorrow so then we will also have some more to write about.
In the evening we had a little ringing session in which we caught some nice birds at Ängfallet. It was one female Chaffinch, a Yellowhammer and a retrap of a male Chaffinch that was ringed here in 2011.
