Happy Easter everybody!

Personel; TMJ, TLR, LSS

Weather; Sunny and warm all day with just a light breeze.

Projects; Marsh Harrier Nests

This beautiful Easter Sunday was dominated by Marsh Harriers! In the morning we were searching for their nests at Nyängen, Fågelsjön and Åslasjön. After this nice morning session, we followed a tradition that can’t be lacking on this day… the Easter egg hunt! We only had three eggs, so everyone had just one egg to find but they were well hidden.

At noon we went out to the field again to find as much Marsh Harrier nests as possible and at the end of the day we were able to raise the nest count to 6! But as far as we can tell this should not be the end. There are lots of birds around and we estimate that there could be another 6 nests we haven’t found yet. Hopefully we will have some more tomorrow.

Later we used the calm evening to get a little familiar with the canoes again. Luckily everything went well and we stayed dry and happy!
