Skylark and Ortolan observations were carried out in the morning, and in the afternoon the first marsh harrier chicks of the season were ringed.
Preparations to the ringing sites suffered a setback due to faulty equipment, which took most of the afternoon to sort out. All going well, the staff hopes to be able to start clearing the vegetation around the net cuts tomorrow.
Great Reed Warbler
The GRW team have caught a new female, put a new logger and caught a male that was wearing a logger. They also found a nest predated.
