GRW team did its routine check among all lakes in Kvismaren. One new male was caught in Fågeljsön and he turned out to be a bird that was bred in the same lake from 2014. A new logger was also attached to this bird.
MLA spent all morning and a couple of hours in the afternoon to observe feeding behaviours of the skylark. The weather condition wasn’t ideal and only one potential nest location was found.
LST did the first observation the hunting territories of female marsh harriers today. Females were rather active today and a few interesting interactions and hunting behaviours were observed.
After dinner, all team members went out to Hammer Bridge and caught four goslings for ringing.
