Standardised ringing
Morning was windier than expected, so we decided to switch to Vallen. Still, not so many birds fall into the nets. The surprises of the day were the two pipits that we got; a juvenile meadow pipit and an adult of tree pipit.

With net rounds of 2 birds in the 24 nets of Vallen, we decided to close and try Öby kulle in the afternoon. 8 nets were set up in the hill around 16:00. Tapes of trecreeper, nuthatch, siskin and black woodpecker were recorded. The captures were scarce, here the detailed list:

Observations
Flocks of tree and meadow pipits flying south over Vallen. Flocks of barnacles and bean geese. A great egret was spotted by SSL at Hammarmaden.
