Skylarks
JMY looked in vein for Skylarks feeding around the area. An ice cream from Störa mellosa in the afternoon lifted her spirits.
Great reeds
TMJ went to Slottsviken and caught two females, one with a logger. MBR ringed one brood of chicks and checked two others on hatching day, all was well.
Standardised ringing
Ringing at Banvallen was nicely varied.

A short-eared owl was observed in the morning and black and red kite were also seen by the ringing team.
In the afternoon the marsh harrier nest in Fågelsjön was checked and 2 healthy chicks were ringed. Presumably the third (runt) was lost to the bad weather.
In the evening a Wood Sandpiper and 2 Dunlin were ringed.

Observations – The little bustard remained on Hammermaden.
