Projects: NEST BOXES IN SÖRÖN
We found the first hatchlings of Blue tit, a nest box occupied by a Pied flycatcher and more eggs for the great tits.

Projects: STARLING NEST BOXES
Some of the nests were checked to see the possible date for ringing.

Three new nests have been found today.

Projects: GREAT REED WARBLER
We joined the great reed warbler team. Three new nests were found, and one male trapped and colour ringed.

We have seen a female Red-Footed falcon, a couple and a young individual of White-tail eagle, a Ringed plover and the first goldeneye chicks.

Projects: WETLAND SURVEY
We have done the second part of the fourth round of the wetland survey, we have been in Nyängän, Nyäasangän, Fiskinge and Hammarbotten.

Projects: GREAT REED WARBLER
Three new nests have been found today, one of them with two eggs, in Sörbysjön.

Projects: Observations
We have seen a bearded tit in the reeds of Nyängän and a moose close to Fiskinge.

Projects: WETLAND SURVEY
We have done the first part of the fourth round of the wetland survey, we have been in Sörbysjon, where we have count around 400 nests of Black-headed gull, in Löten (50 individuals of little gulls), and in Västra. In Hammarmaden today there was 400 cranes resting in their migration.

One pair of ortolan bunting have been watching closed to Söron. Also, we heard another male at least.

Projects: SAVI´S WARBLER
We have ringed a savi’s warbler in Rysjön today afternoon. Also, we ringed a reed warbler.

One pair of ortolan bunting have been watching closed to Söron. Also, we heard another male at least.

One savi’s warbler have been heard on Sörbysjön. On the afternoon, we have tried to ring it but we didn’t success. We will try again :)

All the starling nest boxes have been checked and we have found chicks in some of them and others are starting to hatch.

There are 6 males and 1 possible female of great reed warbler in Kvismaren.

We have found the first starling chicks in Hammar but anything in Fiskinge. Instead of that, there were some predated nests.

We have checked some of the starling nest boxes of Ångfallet, and in two of them we have seen already four little chicks of starling.

The first male of the season have been heard in Fågelsjön, they are arriving later than expected, but now the season have started!

Projects: WETLANDS SURVEY

We have done the rest of the wetlands census, Fågelsjön, Åslasjön, Fiskingemaden and Värstamaden. There are lots of waders in migration that use our wetlands as stopover, such as greenshanks, ruffs…
Six males and one female of tufted ducks were seen in Fågelsjön.

Observations: 20 yellow wagtails were seen in Åslasjön.
