Good weather day today. 18 nets were set up at 5:58 in Banvallen. Lower temperatures of the season were waiting for us in the ringing place. Numbers of dunnocks have increased recently, presumably in migration through Kvismaren, together with the wrens. A bluethroat was also present in our captures.

Morning was windier than expected, so we decided to switch to Vallen. Still, not so many birds fall into the nets. The surprises of the day were the two pipits that we got; a juvenile meadow pipit and an adult of tree pipit.

Some showers poured over our heads, but still we decided to head to Banvallen with hope. We got a really slow and wet morning, thought, with almost no birds. Nets were taken down at 10:30 due to stronger rain. 10 new birds were ringed and 5 more recapture.

Rain delayed the set up fo the nets untill almost the afternoon, but they were kept until the sunset. Still, 31 birds fall into the nets, 25 of them been new birds. No unexpected species were caught, but a surprisingly delayed juvenile of Bearded reedling which haven´t started the complete moult yet.

We got a busy day at Ässön after the rain of the 15th. The day started with a flock of 30 Robins presumably in migration and continued with a steady flow of birds into the nets, including white wagtails, a dunnock and a good number of Goldcrests and willow warblers. Total of 124 bird caught, which is the record of this season, with only 5 recaptures.

Unfortunately the rain did not allow us to ring today. MMJ showed the area of the natural area and the locations of the bird observatory tower to SSL, who arrived during the night of the 14th to the Kvismare fågelstation.

12 nets were set up in a windy day at Banvallen, with the sky threatening with a storm the whole morning. Really slow day: Only 23 birds; 20 of them news and three recaptures. However, the flock of long tailed tits is always something worth to see from close! It pay off for the early wake up.
